Generators

UC machines need power, produced by generators. UC has several generator families — Magmators (lava), Furnators (solid fuel), Solar Panels, Thermo Generators, and Wind Turbines. Power reaches machines by adjacency (or over energy cables); see Power System for adjacency rules, transfer modes, and cables.

Magmator fuel: a Magmator burns lava from its own internal lava buffer — you fill it directly with lava buckets (or pipe lava in). There is no separate fluid tank placed underneath, and every tier yields the same 100 energy per mB of lava (100,000 per bucket). Higher tiers just burn faster and hold more; they don't extract more per bucket. (Fluid Tanks are standalone storage blocks + a crafting ingredient in the recipes below — not something you place under the magmator.)

Energy at a glance

Generation rate and buffer for every tier, straight from the block definitions. Bedrock runs at 20 ticks/sec, so multiply the per-tick rate by 20 for per-second — e.g. a basic Magmator's 50/tick is ≈1,000 energy/sec. A generator can push up to rate × 4 per tick into the machines touching it.

Generator Gen rate/tick (basic → ultimate) Buffer (basic → ultimate) Fuel / driver
Magmator 50 / 200 / 800 / 5,000 80k / 320k / 1.28M / 8M lava (100 energy/mB, all tiers)
Furnator 40 / 160 / 640 / 4,000 64k / 256k / 1.02M / 6.4M solid fuel
Solar Panel 12 / 48 / 192 / 1,200 32k / 128k / 512k / 3.2M daylight (noon peak)
Thermo Generator 20 / 80 / 320 / 2,000 32k / 128k / 512k / 3.2M heat block + water (× heat mult)
Wind Turbine 8 / 32 / 128 / 800 64k / 256k / 1.02M / 6.4M altitude + weather
Battery 100 / 400 / 1,600 / 10,000 (I/O) 256k / 1.02M / 4.1M / 25.6M — (stores only)

Thermo and Wind rates above are the base figures — multiply by the heat-block / altitude+weather multipliers described in their sections.

Magmators

Base output: ~50 energy/tick (≈1,000/sec), scaling to 5,000/tick at ultimate. Each tier is crafted by upgrading the previous one — you'll build all four in sequence.

Basic Magmator

Entry-level lava generator. Sufficient to power a handful of low-tier machines.

Advanced Magmator

Significantly higher output than Basic. Upgrade by wrapping the Basic Magmator in new materials — keep your old one in the recipe.

Pattern: GDG / EBE / SES — Energized Iron Plate (G), Advanced Fluid Tank (D), Advanced Chip (E), Basic Magmator (B), Steel Plate (S)

Expert Magmator

High-tier output for mid-to-late-game machine arrays. Requires Diamond Dust and Expert Chip.

Pattern: GDG / EBE / SES — Diamond Dust (G), Expert Fluid Tank (D), Expert Chip (E), Advanced Magmator (B), Steel Plate (S)

Ultimate Magmator

Maximum power output. Late-game generator; requires Netherite Plate and Ultimate Chip.

Fluid Tanks

Fluid Tanks are standalone fluid storage blocks (lava, water, etc.) — fill them by right-clicking with a bucket or wiring them into a fluid-pipe network. They're used as a crafting ingredient in Magmator and Thermo Generator recipes; they are not placed underneath a machine. Capacities: 32,000 / 128,000 / 512,000 / 3,200,000 mB (basic→ultimate), and they're an upgrade chain — each tier consumes 3× of the previous tier's tank.

Batteries

Batteries store UC power and can buffer output between generators and machines. They follow the same upgrade-chain pattern as Magmators and Fluid Tanks.

Furnators

Furnators burn solid fuel (like a Blast Furnace) to generate UC power. Base output: ~40 energy/tick (≈800/sec), up to 4,000/tick at ultimate. They follow the same upgrade-chain pattern as Magmators.

Solar Panels

Solar Panels generate UC power during the day. Output is a pure function of time of day — it ramps from zero at dawn to a peak at noon and back to zero at night. There is no sky-access or light-level check, so a panel still works fully enclosed or underground; it just has to be daytime. Peak output (noon): ~12 energy/tick (≈240/sec), up to 1,200/tick at ultimate.

Thermo Generators

Thermo Generators produce UC power from a heat-source block placed directly below them, cooled by water kept in their own internal buffer. Valid heat blocks (with output multipliers): blaze block ×1.5, lava ×1, soul fire / soul torch / soul campfire ×0.75, fire / campfire / magma ×0.5, torch ×0.25 — so a blaze block gives the best output. They burn 1 mB of water per unit of energy generated; if the water runs out they stall ("No Coolant"), and any non-water fluid reads "Invalid Coolant". The Fluid Tank is only a crafting ingredient here — not placed underneath, and not lava or ice. Base output: ~20 energy/tick × heat multiplier (≈400/sec at ×1, ~600/sec under a blaze block), up to 2,000/tick at ultimate.

Wind Turbines

Wind Turbines generate UC power passively, scaling with altitude and weather — output rises the higher you place them (base around Y 63; below ~Y 20 they cut out with "Low Altitude", up to ~ at high altitude) and with weather (clear ×1, rain ×1.5, thunder ×2.25). There is no open-space-above requirement. Base output: ~8 energy/tick × altitude/weather (≈160/sec at baseline), up to 800/tick at ultimate.
